Para melhor compreensão da «evolução na redistribuição» da Palestina entre palestinianos e israelitas, vejamos a opinião de alguns dos principais dirigentes israelitas:
Moshe Dayan (1915 — 1981), foi responsável pelas mais importantes vitórias de Israel nas guerras contra seus vizinhos árabes.
- "Se se tem o Livro da Bíblia, e o Povo do Livro, então tem-se também a Terra da Bíblia – dos Juízes e dos Patriarcas em Jerusalém, Hebron, Jericó e das terras em redor." Menachem Begin (1913-1922) foi um politico israelita, Prémio Nobel da Paz e Primeiro Ministro de Israel.

David Ben-Gurion (1886 — 1973), judeu polaco, foi o primeiro chefe de governo de Israel.
